Great stuff. The 20th century had some excellent music. The Russians in particular knew how to fuse late 19th century romantic sounds with some of the slightly discordant sounds that were creeping into music without going overboard with the atonal stuff that to me are just exercises for talented students.

Ich bin Enttäuscht 😞
I was born the day after Bartok died. Early on the morning of September 27, 1956. I am a composer with no training. I composed this song, that includes 44 key changes, and uses 12 keys, one them being Hungarian, which I use quite often. ruclips.net/video/cZETMINqBv8/видео.html

Exquisite. Just stunning ❤
WOW! Just simply WOW..
The English Renaissance is a topic that is very little exposed here in Latin America, and in Brazil in particular; so that coming into contact with the work of Thomas Tallis is a very pleasant surprise... His work is extremely melodic and delicious to listen to. Without a doubt, a very useful novelty for me.
Wow everyone’s here from kafka on the shore. 😭😭😭 <33
Excellent playing of his own compositions: Grieg's performance of the 2 movements from his sonata are far more superior than that of Einar Steen-Nøkleberg who has not got a grip on the style of Grieg!!
And Gould’s. By a long shot
Btw his piano rolls feature better playing than this but the speed is often set wrong on the pianola system.
Fifty shades of gray brought me here 😂
Paganini is great! 👍
at 2 minutes and 2 seconds i slowed it down to 0.75 on the playback speed, try it
I have been present within Merton College chapel during recordings of this music by Peter Phillips and the Tallis Scholars. It is overwhelming to the senses.
Рахманинов был гением своего времени и до сих пор им остаётся, музыка уносит куда то высоко, мысли улетают вместе с музыкой, остаётся только насладиться мелодией
Lovely Sci-fi vibe to this ✨️ 👌
Que bendición para mi conocer algo de. Nicolo gracias a Dios por. Su arte
The compositions of Schubert connects us with purity and divinity. My favorites are Ave Maria and Serenade 🌹

Well, I'm Russian and frankly speaking I'm infinitely proud that Prokofiev was my compatriot. Probably, the best composer of the XX century, as well as Rachmaninoff, Richard Strauss, George Gershwin, Erich Korngold, Ennio Morricone etc. But among of all these Prokofiev should be admitted as the most original, inventive, superordinary...

This appears to be the first recording from the 1970s, and it remains my favorite. I used to wonder why the violins <<sometimes>> sounded like they were badly recorded; they sounded thin as if I was hearing only a couple of stands. Much later, when I looked at the score, I realized that the string parts are sometimes subdivided into four parts per section! That was the effect Debussy wanted, apparently. There's a lot of oboe, naturally, and John Mack does a great job as usual. Thanks for posting this, it's in interesting contrast to the later DG release with the same artists. BTW, people that like this music may have an interest in the following: ruclips.net/p/PLMXimBFJV8P9hwKlQYWhCqWyFnEUR0QpJ&si=v4wsMMX53LBevZJJ
